I started with shooting, developing, and printing black and white film by hand.
When digital cameras started to become popular, I began to study Photoshop, although I didn't expect digital processing could express the beauty of gelatin silver print. I finally realized the power of Photoshop when I was working as a photo retoucher.
I expanded my skills by studying graphic design and have done photo retouching, prepress, and design work for both print and web.
I like to think about the concept of the design and images and seem the ideas through to production.
元々は写真が大好きで、若い頃はモノクロのフィルム現像から紙焼きまで自分でやっていました。世の中がデジタル中心になってからは、”銀塩写真をデジタルで表現するなんて”と批判しつつも、ガツガツとPhotoshopを勉強し、気がつけばフォトレタッチャーとして働いていました。
写真表現のみならず、今ではグラフィックも勉強し、グラフィックデザイナーとして仕事をしています。
写真にしてもグラフィックにしても、コンセプトのあるものが好きです。プリント、ウェブの両方に対応いたします。
